Hello, I have only been a member for about a month but I have already learned so much from reading the posts and Meatheads book. I have been grilling for 20 years or so but it wasn't until about 2 years ago that I really started studying it and really getting into it. I bought a large BGE and enjoy grilling, baking (pizza,cakes, pies and bread) and slow n low. I look forward to learning and sharing with all of y'all

I got my large BGE when I was about 60 years old. I had NEVER baked a loaf of bread or ever thought I would ever bake a loaf of bread at that point in my life. Then... I read in the BGE owner's manual that my new ceramic cooker would bake bread better than my kitchen oven.

Since then I've become a pretty good maker of bread and pizza.🤔

My advice to you is DO NOT use the techniques for baking bread and pizza that you see on Big Green Egg's website. They have no clue how to use their own product for baking bread or pizza.😖
