    Hello All

    Hello all,

My name is Fumba and I live in Raleigh, NC. I'm interested in learning as much as I can from you all. I mostly do all my grilling on a Brinkmann 5 burner gas grill. I have used charcoal grills in the past and want to get back to something that will give me more of that bbq flavor we all love. I'm doing a lot of research and will be adding to my collection soon. Thank you all in advance for all your knowledge.

Welcome to the Pit. What are you looking for? Grilling/Smoking? Smoking? or just live fire grilling? Some info like that can help fellow members steer you in the right direction. There are a lot of options out there and we can help you find something that will give you exactly what your looking for.

I'm kind of a blank canvas right now. I've cooked a bunch on my gas grill, but I want to get more into smoking and other types of open fire grilling. Right now I'm trying to decide between a Rec-Tec 680 and a Kamado Joe as my next pick of equipment.

Never used a REC TEC. But I love my Kamado Joe JR. Great build quality and it holds temps solid as a rock!! If your looking for open fire cooking, it a better option that the REC TEC. fumba64
