I'm from Rochester, NY area and new to this membership.
I always enjoyed grilling and barbecuing and do lots of it in the summer. I ave cooked just about any meat on my grill(s) and have even done a few full-hog roasts.
My wife is a gormet cook and does a lot in th kitchen. She has probably close to a hundred cookbooks. She got me a Cooks Illustrated grilling cookbook and I really got into it. That's how I ended up on this site and became a member.
I have a Weber Genesis gas grill (3 burners plus sear station) plus a Weber kettle charcoal grill.
I just putchased a ThermoWorks pop thermometer and a DOT thermometer/alarm gizmo.
I enjoy backyard activities like gardening, lounging and maintaining our in-ground pool, smoking cigars, drinking beer or bourbon.
Kids and grandchildren keep us grounded so backyard and in-house activities make up most of our free time.
I am eager to get into the higher levels of outdoor cooking.
Guess that's a start for me - looking forward to sharing info and getting advise.
Let the games begin.
Peace!
Dan
