I'm steve from mn. I have loved grilling all my life. I have had the classic webber, the gas webber, and recently a side smoker from New Braunfels. I have rebuild my gasser and got about 8 years out of it but this year I bought a new one. The side smoker has rusted through and I suggested to my wife that a Kamado Joe would be a great Christmas present. On Christmas eve I was grilling a couple of ribeyes on the big joe! My wife's birthday is after Christmas and she requested a standing rib roast for her birthday dinner. Talk about taking diving into the deep end!!! I followed Meathead's menu although I left the bones in, with a reverse sear. It was absolutely amazing! Now I really have the bug and had to join the pitmaster club. I am looking forward to more great grill sessions!!! As for my favorite libation, I am a fan of Wild Turkey, Four Roses single barrel and Smithwicks beer. Stand Tall!
