    Big Meathead and amazing ribs.com fan!

    Hey everyone. New to the club. Been messing with my smoker for somewhere around 7 years or so. I still consider myself somewhat of a novice, and I've probably done more research online about the subject than every book I've ever read combined. Haha So glad I found this site, because with all the debate out there, it was nice to find information that actually works! I've definitely had my fair share of strike outs and backyard standing ovations. I'm just hooked on the whole process, and trying to get better. So much fun researching, planning, and plotting a smoking (or grilling) session. Once I found this site, it took a lot less time to do those things! Requested Meathead's book for Christmas, and was disappointed to see that I have the VW Beetle of smokers. Hahaha. Oh well, I'll get there. It's a never-ending journey. I am a really huge fan of his and the site, so if he actually happened to reply, I would probably frame it and hang it on my wall or next to my smoker or something. Haha

                    Haha Fatcap , I to was disappointed to learn that my smoker sucks! But I have been making due. That is why last night I went out and purchased a weber kettle, to get me by until I can build my own! Welcome to the pit

                          Got a little carried away over the holiday break. Haha. Did a chicken in a mix of cherry and pecan smoke, some smoked burgers, and some smoked pork chops. Could have tied the bird up and made it a little more presentable, but I was in a hurry. Thanks for asking, and how about you? I'm new to the club, but I think they'll look the other way if we exchange some food porn. lol
