    Hi Everyone,
Name is Bill and I have explored the site for several months and decided to join. I have learned much on Amazing ribs as I am a former charcoal griller ready to advance to wood. Live in western NC and Central FL. I just finished building my offset smoker out of old propane tank and am ready to start my "dry runs" to get to know my smoker just in time for old man winter. Looking forward to ask for input as I begin my new journey. Thanks to all!

Welcome aboard Wwilli! Around here as you probably have learned, it was'nt cooked unless there are pics. So with that said, a mighty fine smoker that you have described does'nt exist unless their are pics. We are all waiting with great anticipation! Glad to have with us & enjoy the ride!

Welcome to The Pit wwilli7! Nice to have you here, congrats on building a smoker. I wish I was that talented and/or motivated. Sadly none of the above here. Thanks for your support!

Here she is. I actually purchased the blueprints and made some changes during construction. Added an additional 2' in the fire box I didn't feel there was enough room for ashes under the intake vents. I made the warmer shorter than plans and eliminated material waste. The warmer also doubles as a smoker if I am smoking only a few hunks of meat. If I had known I would have bought 4'X9' plate material and would have worked out perfect. All made out of 1/4' steel. Building trailer now have the frame constructed ready for the tandem axle install. After my dry runs will prep and paint the cooker chamber. Will get my homework done! LOL
