I am new to this site as of last week. I found it while looking for a smoker.

My wife and I are retired and loving it after working and living in Pennsylvania, California,Texas,Arkansas, and now Florida.
I have been grilling for years, but wanted to try the smoking side and am now on a mission to do so with all of your help.

How can I go wrong with such a great team

In the short time I have been on this site I have learned a lot and really appreciate the way information is shared with so many.

Thanks for all of the reply's I cook on a Weber Genesis and am attempting to use it as a smoker as well. I am using pellets and setting my right burner on low ans so far I can maintain a temp of about 235 - 245 which gives me a good smoke still experimenting with pellet holders. I did purchase the GG that everyone has good things to say about which should arrive today with a new pellet holder as well. I enjoy cooking just about everything, but so far I have only smoked Ribs and chicken with fair success. I am a big fan of the reverse sear and love The Food Lab book by J.Kenji Lopez. I will be purchasing one by Meathead as well.

I live in The Villages Fl which is north of Orlando and South of Ocala.
