Greetings Pit-people,
I have been lurking for some time on this website, siphoning of secrets, reviews, recipes and facts. I'm thrilled folks are taking their time to familiarize the BBQ world with hard boiled truths and scientific explanations. I've come to enjoy BBQing only just a year ago (save the occasional grilling of hot dogs and steaks with the family through the years on a flimsy hardware store kettle or even electric grill).
Having tasted authentic pulled pork I was hooked and got myself one of these things. To be fair it was dirt cheap and the result was amazing, since I had virtually no comparison. The unit itself was thin-walled, leaky and fell apart on touch... Basically the cooking itself wasn't fun! A good friend of mine and big advocate Weber introduced me to gas-grills. Couple weeks later I own my own, mid-range used gas grill and use it frequently and happily.
The urge to kindle and command coal, fire and smoke rests deep though, which is why I am currently in the market for a bullet smoker.
So I decided to join this inviting club to get advice, make friends, improve my cooking and enjoy food.
