Nope, not dead - just hibernating

Alright guys I'm bck. I don't even know how long it's been since I last logged in. No health issues. Really, what happened is my dog Juno died. To make a long story short, we went on vacation and picked her up from boarding and it was clear she wasn't herself - she wasn't eating, she was lethargic, and she wasn't really interacting with me the same way. Vet assured me that it was likely just her readjusting from being in boarding. A few weeks went by and she was not getting better so I took her back to the vet and had them run some tests. Turned out she had inoperable cancer and wasn't expected to last more than a few weeks. Well, it affected me pretty severely. My wife thought that a new puppy would get me out of my slump, so for my birthday she got me a bernedoodle puppy. I named her Echo; I'll post some pictures of her later - she's 4 months old now and basically looks like a fuzzy potato, especially when running.

Anyway, that's that. I'm glad to be back and will be looking through the forums to see what kind of trouble y'all have been up to.

Welcome back. I'm so sorry to hear about Juno. That's tragic. When I started reading, I thought it was going to be a boarding horror story. I'm glad it wasn't that, because we board Leo when we go on vacations where we can't take him with us. How old was Juno, of you don't mind me asking?

Again, my deepest condolences for your loss.

So sorry you have had to go through this experience, as many of us have had to suffer similar losses. It can be heartbreaking. Glad you are back among us and we can look forward to reading posts and seeing photos of your future life and experiences with Echo.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss of Juno -- and oddly enough, my dog, a five year old Shichon (Bichon and Shih Tzu mix), is also named Juno.

Here's to hoping Echo can fill the hole in your heart and welcome back

I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing a dog is always difficult to deal with. They are part of our family and have an unwavering love for us, always just wanting our love and attention. That little Echo is a cutie. I love the fuzzy potato reference. Glad to see you back and healing in a good way.

Sorry to hear about Juno. When we lost our Golden almost 2 years ago now. It was tough. They truly are family. We do still have a younger Golden, which did help getting through that time.

That pup is dang cute, though. We have a friend whose mother breeds bernedoodles. Cute dogs but I wish she'd stop posting them on FB. Every time my kids or wife sees them, they're asking about getting one. I say "Sure. Just buy your own house, and you're all set!". I'm afraid one day, I'll open up the door and a fluffy little puppy with run out!

Glad to have you back and you're doing better!

I am sorry you lost Juno.
You can't replace the ones you lost, but a new wagging tail in the house is lots of fun. Echo is adorable.
