Hi everyone - just joined this morning and already finding great topics.
I’m in my 40s with two kids, two dogs, and a wife that tolerates my bbq habit.
I’ve been cooking for a while and have tried many setups. I started in my 20s on a Webber Kettle and got the bug. I bought a Bradley and then I took some classes at Dizzy Pig in Manassas, Va which led me into BGE for a decade. As the family grew I decided to give pellets a shot. I ran a LSG pellet for a few years but found its footprint too big for my backyard compared to the results I was getting. I think I have found the perfect setup (for now). I have a spider grills huntsman and a 3 burner Weber genesis. I’m happy to be back working charcoal and logs and so far really like the versatility and control on the huntsman. This will all probably change in a couple of years and I’ll be looking for something else to try….
Anyway - I’m doing 2 butts for a graduation party on Friday and will be making Myron Mixins vinegar sauce along with Meathead KC Red and Columbia Gold. We’ll see what the people like the most.
