    Ed from Missouri

I am a long time bbq-er and have been doing 4-6 competitions a year. I have a 22" Weber Smokey Mountain smoker, a Broilmaster gas grill, a 22" Weber grill, and then I made the mistake of buying a Victory smoker from BBQ Guys. Had two major ssues with the auger drive and they have since discontinued the smoker. I got a credit with them for a new pellet smoker but am looking for insights as to which one is best.
    They are:
    (1) Camp Chef Woodwind SS 24 Pellet Grill
    (2) Louisiana Grills LG0800BL Black Label Series Pellet Grill W/ Wi-Fi Control
    (3) Weber SmokeFire EX4 Gen 2 24-Inch Wi-Fi Enabled Wood Fired Pellet Grillh

They are all within a few dollars of each other. I am just curious if anyone has first hand knowledge as to how they perform. How well does the controller work? Any design flaws? How sturdy they are built? Things like that. I dont expect someone to have good knowledge on them all, but any type of feedback on any of the models would be helpful.

I do NOT plan on using this for the competitions. Just plan on using at home.

Thanks in advance for any insights.

Don't have any insight to offer on your pellet rig choices, but welcome from the northern Virginia suburbs of Washington, D.C. Hope you have fun here

Welcome from the Land of Enchantment!!!!

these cookers may have been reviewed by Max - did you happen to check the review page? Two of the three I believe have been reviewed, so that may give you some insight as well.

have fun finding the cooker that works for you!

Welcome to the Pitmaster Club! It is great to have you here. Thank you for the support!

Not a pellet head myself, but I think our very own Jerod Broussard owns a Louisiana Grill pellet rig. He might be able to provide some insight for you.

Welcome from Western Massachusetts. Can't help on your question, I'm not a pellet cooker owner. Plenty here are so wait for the landslide of opinions. And if bbqLuv chimes in, ignore him. He drinks PBR.

Greetings from NW Oregon. The birth place of the pellet grills.

Pellet grills are easy to lean. If you can turn an oven on and set the temperature you can operate a pellet grill.
The one friend I have has a 10+ year old entry-level Traeger that services him well.

If I were to replace my pellet grill I would take a hard look at Pit Boss® Competition Series Titan Wood Pellet Grill at Menards®

                  I hope this helps.

First, welcome. I have a Yoder so I can’t speak to the quality of the grills you mentioned. Have you run them through Max’s reviews located here?

Use this page on AmazingRibs.com to search For A Grill, Smoker, Pizza Oven, Pig Roaster, Or Other Cooker with ease.

Welcome to the Pit from the Florida Suncoast. My pellet cooker experience is limited to my Yoder. I’ll echo the others who have encouraged you to check out the reviews on the free side. Good luck making your decision.
