    Vancouver Amateur Pitmaster

    BBQ has become a passion and hobby. I use a Franklin Offset Smoker, Primo Junior Ceramic, PK Original, Weber Griddle, and Kalamazoo Hybrid (mostly in the winter as it is built into my covered deck).

    Vancouver is not an ideal location for BBQ due to Nov-May rainy weather and difficulty obtaining ideal wood. I use largely use white oak, alder (salmon) and cherry splits but cannot access hickory, mesquite or post oak. I order currently meat from Porter Road and local butchers.

    My skills are passable but always looking to improve.

      Welcome from Oz, those 'passable skills' will significantly improve by taking on the advice freely available around here. It's been making me a better cook, well so I reckon 😄
