Been a huge Meathead fan for a lot of years now, and finally got to meet my BBQ hero at his "Busting Old Husbands Tales" presentation last year in Downers Grove, IL. Also in attendance was another BBQ Hall of Famer, Dave Raymond (Sweet Baby Ray). What a great day!
Being in the NW Suburbs of Chicago has it's weather challenges for BBQ, but grilling is a year round sport at my house. I now have a dedicated patio and grill tent to protect from the elements. Neither rain, nor snow, nor dark of night shall stay this griller from his appointed rounds....
Most of my grilling/smoking is on a Weber Master Touch, using a Slow N Sear insert. A couple of years ago purchased a Camp Chef pellet grill and also have an old Dyna Glo 5 burner gas grill, along with a small bullet smoker.
I love to grill and always looking for new recipes, tips and tricks, and secret techniques. Looking forward to being more active in the Pitmaster Club.
