Just joined this site (trial for now until I receive my grill and start getting busy). Haven't BBQed in some time. Just ordered a Weber 26' Kettle as it seems like a good all-around tool to learn this art of Q'n.
Hello from NW Oregon
I believe the pellet grills are the simplest too to produce good BBQ.
If you can use an oven you can use a pellet grill. I and others have referred to them as an EZ Bake Oven with smoke.
I have a Traeger and love it, but the price has gone sky-high.
Glad to have you on board and look forward to posts.
Retired, living in Western Mass. Enjoy music, cooking and my family.
Current cookers Weber Spirit 3 burner with a full insert griddle added. A 22" Kettle with vortex SnS and OnlyFire pizza oven. A Smokey Joe and the most recent addition a Pit Barrel Jr with bird hanger, 4 hooks and cover. ThermoWorks Smoke 2 probe, DOT, ThermoPops and a Thermapen MK4. 3 TempSpike wireless meat thermometers.
