I've been using Meathead's book for several years now and pulling recipes from the website. I finally decided to give myself an early Christmas present and join the club.
I'm originally from South Florida, but have lived a few other places. My wife and I settled here in Pittsburgh about two and a half years ago. My wife found a beautiful Weber Genesis grill for me on FB marketplace within a month of moving in to our house and she didn't complain when I upgraded my charcoal grill to a Weber Master-Touch, which just proves that I married the perfect woman. In addition to my gas and charcoal grills, I'm currently saving up for a high-quality stick burner. I'm particularly looking at the Wichita by Yoder. In the meantime, I'm getting pretty good at smoking things on the kettle. I'm also fooling around a little bit with curing meats. So far I've done Canadian bacon, ham, and corned beef. I aspire to trying my hand at air-dried stuff some day.
Anyway, I'm really happy to be here and I look forward to learning from y'all!
Best,
Rich
