Hi everyone— I received my first Weber Kettle about 45 years ago, but I didn't begin cooking with anything else until about 2000. I had to go to Memphis on business and my contact said he'd take me out for barbeque. Coming from Wisconsin, my idea of BBQ was chopped up ham with bottled sauce on it. Well, he took me to this little hole in the wall place (Germantown Commissary) and I've been in love with real BBQ ever since.
I've owned a couple of cheap offsets, a WSM, and am about to take delivery of a Masterbuilt 1050. Now that I'm 70, I don't have the energy to babysit an offset anymore.
I'm looking forward to engaging all of you and learning more about cooking outdoors!
