Hello, I've been grilling and smoking on my Hasty Bake for 20 years, figured it’s time to learn how to do it right, so I am here to learn.
I just purchased a Hasty Bake Roughneck, cooked on it twice, then went straight to the hack and now I’m hooked. I smashed a FireBoard Drive, with a glaring error, to the fire box and can maintain any temp within 5 degrees over any amount of time in any weather, rain or shine. I can get my Hasty flavor with about 10% of the work! Just need to learn how to cook on it.
I am a HVAC nerd, once upon a time wrote “AI” for the HVAC industry, and turned my pool house into a machine shop; point being is that I have a lot of data on the cooks I do, hacks I make for those interested. Happy to share.

Welcome, welcome! I'm an Okie, myself, just about 40 minutes north of Tulsa in Bartlesville.
I'm a techie guy, too, with my new smoker I recently did a burn-in and seasoning with 10 temp probes running at once, just to learn how she cooks. The Fireboard is my jam, man! lol
Seriously, welcome to The Pit, and glad to have you!
