Thanks! I have had many cookers through the years. I currently have a PK360 (Portable Kitchen). Prior to this I used a Webber 26” and also had a Brinkman vertical propane smoker. Prior to that I had a few Webber 22”. I just (last week) jumped into the deep end of the pool and ordered a Lone Star Grillz 60” stick-burner (roughly 250 gallon). I love my PK but its size is very limiting - although it cooks AMAZINGLY. The design is A+ and it will hold 225’ for 5 hours on one chimney of Kingsford briquets…but can also get to 700’ on the deck in full afterburner mode.
I will say that - for the $$ - I am a huge fan of the Webber 26”. It’s hard to beat. As far as the propane smokers go…not a huge fan. If they are “tuned” properly, you can get descent results (but it’s hard to avoid dirty smoke without a fair amount of tweaking). And God help you if you have the Venturi too lean…carbon deposit city (I ruined some butts this way…they came out black as the Ace of Spades!). So…I should have my Stick Burner by late September (13 week backlog at LSG currently). I am excited to get it!
Welcome from St. Pete!
I use a PK360, and replaced my Cheap Offset charcoal smoker with a Franklin pit.
Have not had better bbq anywhere since I got that baby.
That 60” LSG is a beauty! Gonna be some epic BBQ coming off that machine.
