I found this site years ago when I saw I'd just spent more than $1k on takeout BBQ in three months...decided it *must* be less $$ and better to DIY, but I'm really not a fiddler...more set-it-forget-it. (I actually joined then, I thought...)
AmazingRibs pointed me to the (back then pretty much a startup) PBC...for me it's a perfect solution. It spent years in Venice, CA, now down here in Baja...this weekend we'll be doing beef ribs, chicken, and a steelhead trout for a "little party."
The biggest problem (not a problem) is that it's crazy to BBQ for 2, so we always wind up sharing. ;-) Many happy times!
Have gifted Meathead's book to BBQ minded friends, once they see it they all want it...
