I have been hanging out here for a few months and recently joined. I believe "So much food, so little time". Grills and smokers have been part of my cooking for 30 years and I enjoy learning new ways to make good things to eat.

Hi, my name is Darrell. I'm an OTR truck driver for over 25 years. During my off time I love doing backyard cooks. Spices: Lots of 'em.
Sorry no pics. Christmas day was SLC ribs on new Weber 22 and burgers on the Great Outdoors gas grill. Everything was good but the applewood I used was a bit different to me. Probably try it again with less wood. I have done better ribs. Just need more practice with the Weber.
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

I am in AZ for the Fiesta Bowl and got some chilly weather here. Missed the cool down in Tampa. Looks like normal weather awaits me when I return tomorrow.
Normal winter weather here. Was 53 for the high and raining Sunday. Stayed inside all day making cookies and bread. Enough to last a while. Warmed up the house too.
