New member from Lafayette, LA. Like woodworking, gardening, sailing & spoiling the grandkids. BBQing for over 40 yrs but didn't get serious till about 12 yrs ago when I got my Gator Pit form Ritch Robin @ Gator Pits Houston, TX. It's called their Gator Pit Intruder which has the fire box directly under the cooking chamber. Made out of 24" pipe has a cooking area 32" wide X 24" deep. Just repainted it last month and now it's ready for more BBQing for another 12 yrs plus many more yrs.
Some additions made in last 12 yrs ----> covered the expanded metal side shelves with granite --- installed internal stack dampers --- added bottom shelf / trays (gray) on each side for smoking wood & stuff ----- put new swivel wheels set (8" x 3" wheels) and just repainted added some gray to change it up a little got tired looking at all everything black pit.
