    Having done many spit cooks, and covered hole in the ground cooks, I made a cinder block cooker with a cantilevered counterweight cover. Here's the first pig.

            Welcome to The Pit jherbertjr52! Glad to have you here. I was just telling another new member about how I've never been involved with roasting a whole pig, especially in a ground pit. A buddy of mine keeps teasing me saying we're going to do it soon though. My shovel is waiting.
