Hey everyone,
New member as I got Meathhead's book for Christmas! It is amazing and have spent quite a bit of time on the site. I have a 18" WSM that I smoke on a couple times a month and a weber genesis II gas grill that is used weekly!
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
Welcome from Alabama! Glad to have you onboard. I also have a Genesis II - it's a great gas grill, and a variety of smokers and charcoal grills. Looking forward to seeing what you are cooking up there in frozen north!
Meathead’s book really lays it all out and busts so many misconceptions. It’s pretty much a bbq reference book. Compare it to some of your old bbq books to see how much conventional bbq wisdom has changed.
I’ve got one book that recommends asbestos gloves. 🤣
