    Happy Monday!

My name is Matt and I am new to the Pitmaster Club; on a trial run for now. I have had a Pit Barrel for a number of years, but only dabble with it from time to time. But, I like the idea of being someone who can BBQ. I won't know until I really give it a try and that's why I'm here. I posted a photo of my bird from Thanksgiving; it tasted great, but it looks sad and tired. I hope all of you are well and I look forward to learning from the community here.

    Best,
    Matt

Welcome from the Gulf Coast of Florida. Where are you from Matt? Is the PBC your only cooker? Should I keep asking nosy questions?

Yes, the PBC is my only cooker. I'm from Monrovia, CA - about 20 minutes outside of Los Angeles.

Welcome from southern California! I used to live in Diamond Bar and worked with some folks from Monrovia. Moved south 15+ years ago. I’m sure you’ll feel right at home here in The Pit!

Do I put on Ripple or Uncle John's Band? Depends on my mood.

The Good-One Is A Superb Grill And A Superb Smoker All In One

The Good-One Open Range is dramatically different from a traditional offset smoker. By placing the heat source behind and under the smokebox instead of off to the side, Open Range produces even temperature from left to right, something almost impossible to achieve with a standard barrel shaped offset.

The Cool Kettle With The Hinged Hood We Always Wanted

Napoleon’s 22″ Pro Cart Charcoal Kettle Grill puts a few spins on the familiar kettle design. In fact, the hinged lid with a handle on the front, spins in a rotary motion 180 degrees. It’s hard to beat a Weber kettle, but Napoleon holds its own and adds some unique features to make the 22″ Pro Cart a viable alternative.

The flat top does the burgers and the fryer does the fries. Use the griddle for bacon, eggs, grilled cheese, and so much more. And why deep fry indoors when you can avoid the smell and mess by doing it outside!
