    Mike from Iowa. somewhat a beginner at smokers, been at it for a few years. Just got a Lang and having trouble with keeping the temps steady. Hope to learn more on it on this site.

                      Welcome from Iowa. North Central Iowa to be more specific. Most of the time. We also have a house at the southern end of Lake Okoboji up in the NW corner. Lots of great advice here. Not only about specific cookers, but about cooking in general. I know I've learned a lot here. Also a great community to be a part of. I especially appreciate how when I screw something up, there's at least a half dozen guys to tell about how they screwed up even worse. But there also a lot of great cooks people share that encourage me to keep improving.
