                        Welcome from Maryland! I just did a brisket this past weekend myself. Trimmed off the fat cap and rendered the fat down. Now I have a large mason jar of beef lard/tallow (not really sure if there is a difference) to use for cooking. Bonus, rendering the fat for hours made the house smell awesome for a couple of days.

                          Howdy from Houston and welcome to the best BBQ website there is! Not because we’re the largest, but because we have the best members, moderators and owner there is. This is pretty much a standard welcome we give all our new members. You won’t meet a nicer and more helpful bunch of people. There is one thing though, we love pics…of your cookers and your cooks. Looks like you’ve got a couple of good ones.
