    Introduction!

Hey Y’all! My name is Thomas Bourne, I live in the Houston Metro area but grew up on eastern NC BBQ in my home state of VA... I smoke on a Yoder YS640 and welcomed a new Grilla Primate to the family this month. Ever since I moved to Texas five years ago, I got bit bad by the BBQ bug. I am an avid fly fisher and hunter so naturally those hobbies led to putting the fruits of my labor over an open fire. I cook 3 times a week and will begin doing some local bbq comps in the 2022!

Been to Floyd's several times myself. You need to try 1701 BBQ, a new place at 1701 Calder. They are every bit as good as any place in Central Texas. They open at 11am until sold out which usually happens before 2pm.

Howdy neighbor and welcome to The Pit! What part of Houston ya in? I’m on the West side near Beltway 8/ Westheimer. Nice introduction there and we’re glad to have you. Just an FYI, 58limited mentioned 1701 BBQ in Beaumont, it really is good.

                        Welcome.
The bug bites hard, sadly calamine lotion doesn't help.

Buying more equipment only provides temporary relief but quickly becomes addicting.
