"HOT from The Pit!" has been updated and got a fresh face. Huskee worked hard on bringing this new look to the newsletter. That is not an easy task.

All of these great members were feature this month! Way to go Pitmasters!

Thank you all for taking the time to share your pictures and cooks with us. We know it is time consuming to do so. (Not to mention guests are often champing at the bit to eat your wonderful food creations!) We really appreciate the content. Featuring some monthly highlights in the monthly newsletter, "HOT From The Pit", is our way of showing our appreciation for all of you.

I am always looking for great cooks to feature every month, so please keep them coming.

Huskee It's a strange word, but the original is champing.

"Champing at the bit, or chafing at the bit, meaning to show impatience or burst with energy, refers to a tendency of some horses, when impatient or nervous, and especially if being held back by their riders, to chew on the bit, often salivating excessively."

"This behavior is sometimes accompanied by head-tossing or pawing at the ground. Because people often saw this behavior exhibited by horses lined up for a horse race before the invention of the starting gate, the term has come to describe a person who is eager to get started or to do something. Some impatient horses will rear when held back, so the related phrase "raring to go" also is derived from observations of equine behavior"
