...and that is the reason I dont do comp cooks. Cant wait until everyone gets tired of turning this into a money spending competition and goes to "spec racing". My first money cook was 20 years ago. The guy next to me pulled up in his motor home, plugged in, tuned his satellite antenna and went in to his air conditioned home for the weekend. Fired up the biscuit burner and went back inside. He came out a few times to put meat on or take it off and won the whole damn thing. I was cooking on a home made PBC before it was a thing and decided I wasnt committed ($$) enough to enjoy that. I'll stick to to doing backyard BBQs for 2-200 people who enjoy what I do.
