To my friends of all great things cooked over charcoal...I have a new Weber Performer bowl that needs a home. The GREAT folks at Weber customer service sent me this bowl in light of my temp control challenges. In discussion, it was asked if a bowl replacement would correct the problem. "It might, but I doubt it" said I. Within a few days, a new bowl was sitting on my front door
When I tried to disassemble my exiting bowl, I stripped the nuts holding the plate that keeps the auto starter tube in place. Fuhgedaboutit....I've learned to cook with my existing bowl. Sooooooo...I don't feel right selling the bowl and Weber told me to keep it rather than send it back. Is there a Pit member out there in need of a bowl replacement? If so, it is yours for the cost of shipping. The part number of the bowl is 65166.
