Pitts and Spitts Backyard smoker for sale

This happens to be for sale by someone in the town I live in. Certainly don't need another cooker but maybe someone here does? Looks like a good deal.

Pitts & Spitts Premium Backyard Smoker – Heavy‑Duty, 1/4” Firebox, Stainless Roll top-

    $800
Listed 4 weeks ago in Kernersville, NC Details
    Condition
    Used - Good
Price is Firm. If you know what a Pitts and Spitts is then you know this is a steal. Selling my used Pitts & Spitts Backyard Smoker. This is a serious, high‑quality offset smoker built with premium materials — not a big‑box store unit. It’s in solid working condition and ready for its next owner. Key Features • 304 stainless steel components including roll‑top lid, stack cap, and prep shelf • Removable dual cooking grates • 3/16” carbon steel cooking chamber with built‑in water reservoir for moist, even heat • ¼” plate firebox with EZ‑Open door and removable fire grate for easy cleaning • Steel screw intake damper for precise temperature control • Upper smoke stack damper for managing airflow and smoke • 10” rear solid rubber wheels • Hand‑crafted red cedar hardwood handles • Rubber‑covered maneuvering handles • Stainless steel work surface • Paper towel holder + tool hooks • Drain valve / water pan • Custom Pitts & Spitts thermometer Cook chamber is 30 inches long x 24 inches wide. Multiple pork butts or briskets. Upper shelf for chicken. Condition Well‑maintained. Firebox, grates, and chamber are all in good working order. New high heat paint New cedar wood handles Here is what you need to know. This smoker will outlast you. It’s that well build. You can go to the big box store and buy some flimsy metal smoker that is poorly designed for 400 bucks. That is a choice. Another choice is buy this smoker which if you bought today would cost over 3k. This smoker is hand crafted in Texas. Pitts and Spitts. The smoker is heavy. It will not fit in your car. You can’t lift it up. You will need a ramp. Don’t let $150 be the reason you miss out on a smoker that will last your lifetime. I’ve gotten multiple offers under asking, and that’s fine — but the next person might not hesitate, and then you’re left with your extra $150–$300 and no smoker. Pricing is Firm I’ve cooked on Langs, Shirleys, and Texas Originals. There’s a real difference between a custom‑built pit and a bolt‑together overseas box. Pitts & Spitts is in the same league as the heavy hitters — thick steel, clean welds, consistent temps, and built to outlive you. If you want a smoker that actually performs, this is the one.

Hell, if I were younger I’d rent a truck and go get that. Even if it cost $500 in expenses, that’s a steal.

Well, and if you see something in the garage you like, might as well make an offer!

I guess I could ask for more pic's, of the garage.

Still looking for that "garage find" 68 Camero.

HawkerXP Your searches will work better if you use "Camaro" 😉.

That is a really nice smoker for a great price. I think I could easily load it up with the Tommy Gate lift gate (1500 pound capacity) on my Silverado, without ramps, then rotate into the bed. But... I can't drive 2 states over to pickup a smoker this weekend. This is one of the nicest Facebook smokers I've seen for sale though!

      Edit:

I looked at the Facebook link and was starting to work myself up over this smoker, until I realized it's 8 hours each way to where the smoker is located. I can't leave Yvonne by herself for a 16 hour smoker collection run. She needs daily help at the moment. Oh well... I can dream, right?

I'll go back to monitoring the chuck currently smoking on my SNS Deluxe Kamado, courtesy of the AmazingRibs Pitmaster Club monthly giveaway, for now!

There has to be at least one of the kiddos that could use a bonding day with mom while you take care of yourself for a bit 😏

I just realized too that the 24 x 30 cooking chamber is actually a little smaller than the 24 x 36 cooking chamber in the offset I handed down to my nephew over a year ago. I just can't justify another offset that I won't use much at this stage in life. NOW I feel better about not reaching out on Facebook about a smoker 8 hours away!

I was seriously thinking about pulling the trigger on it this weekend but it's been sold.

Steve B true. That's why I'm shopping the Memorial Day sale at QueenCity Homestore for a new refrigerator right now. Wife has wanted one for a couple years now. We'll see...

The sale has delivered every one of us from MCS and crazy thinking. We don’t need much encouragement.
