Grills, for me, remind me of watches. This is a Rolex. A Timex does just as well, but it is not the same. If you can afford it, and have easy access to wood, then by all means, go for it. I have not used mine as much as it deserves. But, this spring I saved all my sweet grapevine prunings, for the KBQ. And, I think, our Fire Marshall is more tolerant of such hybrid cookers.

KCB is the best offset out there. Provides great smoke flavor, huge capacity for its footprint ( e.g. I can get in 12 racks of St. Louie spares), clean or dirty smoke adjustable poppets, ATC with in 30 d range, stainless steel and easy to clean up, fuel is small wood splits (beer can size) and very easy to manage the fire ( just keep a good coal bed).
Better than the Jambo backyard offset that I had owned for 10 years. And that Jambo was elite.
