Hmm, this one would be a nice bump for the food truck I’ve been told to start on multiple occasions

I would love to have this thing! However, being that I am on staff, I am sure I am ineligible for pick up. I have wanted one of these for years!

- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.

That was really awesome of you Meathead! MattTheGR8 are you in Iowa then? I've always wanted a reverse flow cabinet, super nice cookers! And you know if it was Meathead's, it's in great conditioin!

Cubbiehawkbbqfan I'm in Ankeny. However, I'm not the lucky member who got this deal. I don’t think anyone has publicly claimed it.

Just got it home. Thank you Meathead! Definitely needs some major TLC to get it up
and running again, but it will be worth the work to have a smoker capable of so much food! Also really cool to meet Meathead! He is a walking dictionary of grill and smoker knowledge! He took me on a tour of his smokers and gave me a bunch of best practices and recommendation. My friends who helped enjoyed listening to us "talk in another language!"
I thinking I may use my high temp black spray paint to repaint the body. Does that sound right to y'all?
It may be a fools errand, but does anyone know how to remove the rust from these racks? Or can anyone point me in the direction of those resources?

I think high temp paint on the exterior is fine. I don't think you can revive the racks. You can buff down the corrosion, but that will likely remove any remaining nickel coating. Spring for new racks!
