Does anyone have a good quality apochromatic refractor that’s just collecting dust? I know it’s a long shot, but astronomy is a bit like outdoor cooking. There’s lots of different equipment options, and sometimes a perfectly good performer becomes the odd man out for whatever reason.

I've been a serious amateur astronomer for over thirty years.
I've got a Chinese-made Celestron 102 OTA that literally is sitting and collecting dust. (Not on the optics, of course!) It's an achromat and has all of the false color for an f/10 that you'd expect. It suffers from extreme yellowing once you get over 100x (again, achromat).
Silly thing is sharp as a tack (and perfectly collimated), just plagued with that annoying yellowing when you get to high magnifications. It is a wonderful lunar and double-star scope if you can ignore the color issues. Would be an excellent white-light solar scope, too.
I haven't used it in years as I upgraded to Japanese-made C100ED (which is bliss).
I would not mind parting with it, if I could figure out how to ship it safely to someone. These C102s were made in the "golden-age" of Synta, so I'd want to make sure whomever got it, would get it intact!
