This is the Char Griller grand champ. From the pics it doesn’t look too bad. Looks like there are clamps to keep the door shut tight. I know this is the place where people don’t talk you out of MCS.

My Yoder's lid leaks smoke, it happens even on the fancy ones. It doesn't affect anything, it's a mind thing.

Agreed. A little (or even a moderate amount) of smoke leakage is irrelevant. Unless the goal is impressing your buddies with how 'tight' the smoker is. A few leaks means nothing.

It’s the clamps that has me concerned.
