I appreciate the feedback on this. I feel like it's a good deal, but not getting much interest on Craigslist or FB marketplace. Someone recommended listing on amazingribs.com so here I am.

I think your odds are great here since most of us are a step beyond the average weekend grill warrior and therefore might be more into a kamado than the average Joe. But you of course have to find the perfect combo of 1) local, 2) wants it, and 3) can afford it.
Best o' luck to ya!

Weber Summit Kamado with SnS and Vortex.. Broil King Baron, Primo Oval Junior. Primo XL. Love grilling steaks, ribs, and chicken. Need to master smoked salmon. Absolutely love anything to do with baking bread. Favorite cool weather beer: Sam Adams Octoberfest Favorite warm weather beer: Yuengling Traditional Lager. All-time favorite drink: Single Malt Scotch
Heck, I drove 6 hours from Baltimore to Long Island, NY in crappy Friday traffic to get a Primo XL. I would consider making the trip for that grill!

Thank you kind Sir! I fell in love the first I saw it. We dismantled it so it would nestle in the bed of my ancient Sonoma. Now I am concerned as to the amount of tension on the hinge clamps. I understand there is some expansion and contraction, but if it is not tight enough, the top will not set snug.

Thank you glenm took 42 all the way. Least amount of turns. Had the wifey help with the base. As far as I know, all is well except there is a slight gap at the back of the unit. I am certain it is only an adjustment to be made. (baby steps) I am soo excited!

Alan Brice glad to hear you made it back safely. For adjustment, you might have to open the lid, remove the springs, close the lid, loosen and adjust the bands until the lid to sits flat, then tighten the bands with the lid in the correct position then open the lid again and install the springs again.
