FANTASTIC BBQ SAUCE!★★★★★ I love all of these sauces. The Sweet Cognac is excellent on ribs and chicken. We can't get enough of that flavor profile. It is not overly sweet nor is it overly smokey, it allows the natural smoke and the meat flavors to come through with every bite. It also works great as a glaze for my pork belly burnt ends. It is also a great gift pack for the office when those potluck cooks come around, my co-workers rave about it!
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
I'll vouch for all of Max's sauces. I was super sad one day when a bottle of Beso Del Fuego shattered and was lost. Only drawback of glass bottles I suppose!
Max Good, not a shipping issue (it came from Kansas City BBQ Store BTW). It shattered when dropped by accident in my kitchen, and the sauce and glass went everywhere... Also this was more than a year ago, and the breakage is on me.
Bummer. You need some Beso. One of our PMC brothers left this review on Amazon. "This is it. This is the sauce. This is what I was looking for! Depth of flavor, heat, and the flavor of the peppers responsible for the heat. If I could pick just one sauce on a desert island, this is it. This is the sauce that is going in the hurricane evacuation kit, without question. Happy, happy burn!"
Large Big Green Egg, Weber Performer Deluxe, Weber Smokey Joe Silver, Fireboard Drive, 3 DigiQs, lots of Thermapens, and too much other stuff to mention.
Max Good I'm taking a $24.00 gamble on your advice. My wife rarely uses a sauce on my bbq and I don't use it very often either. The reviews of the Black Swan have been so good I decided to try it. I finally found the 3 bottle sampler at Amazon and ordered it. If I don't like it can I get my money back?
Oh, never mind. If I can get my money back it's not a gamble now, is it?
Probably mostly chicken, pulled pork, ribs and country style ribs. Haven't done a brisket yet but there's only two of us. I don't mind it myself but I'm not sure I want to spend that much money on ol' what's her name. We've been married only 56 years and the jury is still out. 😀
Try mixing any Black Swan Sauce 50/50 with unfiltered cider vinegar and use as a mop. Or slowly blend it into pulled pork - just enough that it makes its presence known. We always have a squirt bottle of half & half on hand.
