    Hi,
I would like to find a good stick burner smoker in Nova Scotia, Canada.

    Thanks
    Ken

Hi Ken and welcome. Have you check any of the big online BBQ stores that sell & ship them? A couple off the top my head would be All Things BBQ or The BBQ HQ. I'm sure other pit members will chime in with other options. Also keep an eye on FB Market place and Craigslist.

Hi Ken, are you looking to smoke in cooler weather too? Thickness will come into play if you're wanting to use the smoker in sub-zero temps. My offset is 1/4 inch steel (6.35 mm) and it can handle very cold temps. The model I had before that was from a box store and the thin metal construction only allowed temps down to around 10 C before it was ineffective. Both produced good BBQ but the thinner one had its limitations with outdoor temps.

Yes, I will be looking to smoke in cooler temps. I came from Alberta and was smoking with my WSM at -25F. Here in Nova Scotia I can get seasoned hardwoods very easily, which I couldn't source in Alberta.

I meant to say that I want to get an offset smoker because I can easily source the hardwoods.

I use to go out your way kind of when I was training some field trial labs with a pro in Missouri.

wkw I have three pointing labs. Not much into the games for me or my dogs just ol’ meat dogs and hunting every day I can. The benefits of living in phez and quail country.

I know what you mean. Field trialing was something to do to keep them in shape for hunting season. I was in Alberta so it was Ducks and geese for us and some pheasants.

Checkout the offsets here for cold weather smoking both my trailers have the bbq vault as well as the magnum sniper on them. The sniper series is a fancier offset. The revolver and the hit-man are traditional tubular offsets. https://pitmaker.com/smokers/

Also check out https://www.easttexassmokercompany.com/ one of my employees brother owns them. I have had a guided tour of their facility, and they are top notch. May have him build my new outdoor kitchen

        They should both deliver.

Welcome to the pit. My guess is you will have to get one made locally, NS is pretty small market. We are planning a visit there this summer.

Canadian Tire or Home Depot must have something new.
          Try Kijiji for used stuff.

Both Canadian Tire and the Depot only carry the inexpensive thin wall products

If you don’t mind shipping charges try BBQ Galores website.
They have a few outlets in Ontario and out west, none out east as far as I know.

I can't offer a local recommendation, but Gator Pit of Texas ships worldwide. Most custom manufacturers do.
