    Towable Pit Northern California Rental

I know this may be a long shot but does anyone around the Sacramento or SF Bay Area have a lead on anyone with a towable smoker for rent that can cremate 8-10 pork butts? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I know a guy up here in Mt Shasta that I could ask, but that's a 6 hour turnaround x 2, at least.

Thanks Mike but that would be a bit too northern. There’s one I’m going to go look at on Monday in Concord. I’m hopeful but question the quality. No manufacturer details etc.

Didn’t end up finding a smoker for today’s BBQ....but I did find a towable barbecue. We loaded it up with charcoal and a bunch of oak wood. Cooked arrachera, diesmillo, lots of peppers, spring onions and a whole boat load of tortillas. The guys loved it and now we’re in the market for a towable Santa Maria grill!! My mechanic also had some 3/8” plate steel leftover so I had him fab me up a quick griddle plate. I’m already in love with that thing too!

I would suggest adding a slight bend around the outside to add rigidity to it. Would also act as a grease trap.

Ahumadora Yeah I was thinking about welding some angle iron on the back and two sides.

The Pit Barrel Cooker May Be Too Easy

The PBC has a rabid cult following for good reason. It’s among the best bargains for a smoker in the world. This baby cooks circles around cheap offset smokers because temperature control is so much easier. Click here to read our detailed review and the raves from people who own them.

A Propane Smoker That Performs Under Pressure

The Masterbuilt MPS 340/G ThermoTemp XL Propane Smoker is the first propane smoker with a thermostat, making this baby foolproof. All you need to do is add wood to the tray above the burner to start smokin’. Click here to read our detailed review.
