    Sleight of Hand Cellars

For something a little different; not the wine, the wine club. I went to a South Seattle Tasting Room in SODO to watch one of my sisters’ husbands’ son and his band "Danny Newcomb and the Sugarmakers" play a concert and decided to join the Sleight of Hand Cellars wine club. I belong to way to many wine clubs and want to cut back but seem to keep adding instead.

Their owner is passionate about music with a special love of vinyl and I signed up for the VINE(YL) club and finally made it back. I was 3 releases behind and picked up 3 LP’s in addition to my wine. The albums weren’t necessarily my type of music but they were enjoyable to listen to Saturday with a nice bottle of wine.

They just posted recent ratings and it looks like I joined an excellent club that makes great wine while supporting local musicians and beyond..

Wow I just made a turntable weight on my lathe for my son. It is very similar to yours.

Just googled them: They are nice but I'll stick with my 1980s Panasonic SE - 2070 system for now.

rickgregory This is in the family room, a room my wife has veto power in. I convinced her that I could hide all the wires and she finally allowed me to put a turntable in. No towers were allowed either so I went with monitors while adding a couple discrete subwoofers. Most the amps are hidden in a cabinet I built in the crawlspace under the family room and the others are in a cabinet I have fans in to keep everything cool.

2.2 system: Anthem STR Preamp, Bryston 6BSST, QSC PLD4.2, 2 ea. Dynaudio Contour 20, 2 ea. Scan-Speak 32W/4878T Revelator 13" Subwoofer’s, VPI Prime Turntable, Ortofon MC Cadenza Bronze Cartridge.

For Movie and TV: 5.1 system-STR HT Bypass: Denon AVR-X6500H, LG 77 CX, 3rd Dynaudio Contour 20 for CC, 2 ea. Infinity Cascade Model Nine surrounds, Apple 4K TV, Panasonic DP-UB820, Xfinity XG1v4.
