I read a similar article a couple of years ago and I bought these whiskeys and I like them. I had a few more bottles but they are now gone. This stuff does not seem to keep?

I'm not a big whiskey drinker but I always have a bottle of Forty Creek on hand. I've never seen the special reserve versions in the store. I have a hard time just finding a bottle of regular Forty Creek.

I will keep my eye out for the better bottles.

I have found the Forty Creek whiskey to be pretty good whiskey for the money. The double barrel reserve is my favourite. I drink it with a little water most of the time.

Right now I'm sipping Basil Hayden's dark rye. It's on sale at my Costco ($6.00 off normal price) and it's Canadian whiskey with a little port thrown in. I'm really liking it, the wine smoothing out the peppery taste...gave it a little hit with the ice ball and it's nice & smooth.

My brother loves his rye... Was never my thing.
I've always been a Vodka guy. Local company makes the best Vodka I have ever tasted... Sooooo smooth!

Nice to see us getting some recognition though!

If you ever see Alberta Distillers' rye, snag it up. That's what Whistle Pig is currently bottling and selling at a significant upcharge.

I Tried Johnny Walker once and it tasted like a flea collar smells.

I always thought Scotch tasted like fertilizer. Maybe because the first time I drank it, I was in a garage at a party and there was some fertilizer nearby? I mean, I was definitely in a garage. Maybe there was fertilizer nearby.
