What bourbons under $50 do you recommend?

I’m so tired of paying $50, $80 for bourbon I like. Forget about Blanton’s that used to be my go to at $59 even up to $79 but now it’s like $140. Forget it!!

I’ve started branching out based on y’all’s recommendations. But what’s your recommendation under $50?

I’ve had this once before and at $30 I think it’s great.

There's a ton of great whiskey for under $50.00. Here's are the one's that I like:
    Grandad Bottled-in-Bond
Wild Turkey 101 bourbon or rye
    Makers 101
    Maker's 46
Old Forester 100, bourbon or rye
Jack Daniel's bonded, bourbon or rye
Very Old Barton 100, (the 90 is good too)
    1792 Single Barrel
    Evan Williams Black
    Evan Williams bottled in bond
    Evan Williams 1783
    Jim Beam Black 7 year
    Knob Creek 9 year
    Rittenhouse Rye
    Old Overholt rye
    Bowman Brother's Small Batch

    There are a lot more.....

Thanks. Like the first 4. Old Forrester is over $50 near me. I’ve got to find that JD Bonded. Heard good things. Don’t like Barton. Don’t know 1792 - will look for it. Guess I need to try the Even Williamses. Thanks. Jim beam black I’ve never seen. Thanks I’ll look for it. Yeah…I forgot about knob creek 👍. Love Rittenhouse. Don’t like overholt. Never seen bowman bros. Will try to find. Great list!!! Thank you.

JCBBQ Are you sure about the price on the Old Forester? The 100? That can't be right. Maybe you're confusing it with the OF1897 BiB, which is also 100 proof & costs anywhere between $50.00-$60.00(and not worth the $$). OF100 should cost less than $30.00. It's one of their cheapest bottles.

Skinsfan1311 oh. Ok you might be right. I’ll check.

Maker's Mark 46 is my go-to unless I'm splurging (which, as I don't drink much these days, I'm more prone to doing). I also really like Knob Creek 9 year.

Check out Costco, the kids get their branded whiskey they say tastes exactly like Crown Royal. I also heard that their brand vodka is from Gey Goose. We buy the Costco vodka and it's very good. I don't know what specific whiskeys they have.

Huh! I’ll have to give them another try. I’ve only looked at Costco booze a couple times and thought their offerings were pretty meager so haven’t gone back.

One of the very few things I miss since moving to TN last summer is booze at Costco!

What I now spend on a fifth at the liquor store is what I could buy a handle for at Costco.

Elijah Craig and Old Forester 100. I just picked up a couple bottles of the OF 100 on sale for $20.

Wow, that is unfortunate. Where I'm at, the EJ is about $35 if not on sale, and the OF 100 is about $27 regularly. I wonder why there is such a difference for your area.

Yeah. You’re right. My family Oatways buys that so I never do bc that’s what they always give me when I visit. I’ll revisit. Thanks.

    Buffalo Trace
    Wild Turkey 101
    Woodinville
    Four Roses Small Batch
    Elijah Craig
    E. H. Taylor (retails for $45 at the distillery gift shop, although essentially impossible to find for that anywhere else)
    Woodford Reserve

There are many more but you get the idea.

Michter’s Small Batch is very good. Also Breckenridge is good, but the only place I can find it around here is the Total Wine in Kennesaw, GA. I usually pick up a bottle when I go visit my sister in GA.

I have some nice bottles but my normal go to is bottom shelf Evan Williams Bottled in Bond. I just like that the best. Kind of like pizza though everyone has their own taste.
