Somebody had a recipe for Lynchburg Lemonade fairly recently. I’ll bet w enough sugar and mixers you’ll love those bourbons. 🤷♂️

The recipe has been in the family for years. I'm not sure where it came from.
After it's frozen, scoop it into any size glass, about 2 3rds full, slap 3-4 mint leaves in your hands to release the oils, stick the leaves in the mixture, top with 7-Up or ginger ale and garnish with a sprig of mint. You can top with more bourbon, if desired😉
Use cheap bourbon and keep the proof no higher than 90. I use Ancient Age 10, or Evan Williams Black. Be careful, these go down real easy....

About me
Real name: Aaron
Location: Farwell, Michigan - near Clare (dead center of lower peninsula).
Occupation:- Healthcare- Licensed & Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) at MyMichigan Health, a University of Michigan Health System.
I made a bourbon version of my Shawsh. Nothing too scientific though, I simply added tablespoons (maybe it was just "gluggs") of Buffalo Trace to the finished product, stirred, repeat, until it tasted good.

https://www.thecookingguy.com/recipe...on-baked-beans I’ve made these 6 times in the last 2 months. Last time threw leftover pulled pork in when adding the beans. Even my wife had a second helping.

I usually add it when simmering onions in the frying pan. Like this:
1. Peel and finely chop an onion (or two).
2. Heat up the frying pan and add a good dollop of (real) butter.
3. Let the onion fry in the butter on medium heat, stirring every now and then. This usually takes 15-20 minutes.
3. When onions are getting ready, add 2-3 tbsp of bourbon (or cognac) and let it simmer a few more minutes.
4. Now use the onions for whatever you were cooking in the first place.
This adds a whole new flavor dimension. Am doing this on the regular now.

Weber MT Kettle, SnS, DnG, Easy Spin Stainless Steel Grate, Elevated SnS SS Cooking Grate, Vortex, Cajun Bandit Rotisserie, Oklahoma Joe Bronco, OKJ Bronco Triple Grate, Mini Weber Kettle ashtray Maverick XR-50, TimeStick Trio
Bourbon Ice Cream
6 egg yolks
1 pint heavy cream
1 cup half and half
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 vanilla bean
1/4 cup bourbon
Directions
In a heavy bottomed saucepan, heat cream, half and half, sugar and vanilla bean to a boil.
In a large stainless steel bowl reserve egg yolks. Temper hot cream mixture into the egg yolks while constantly stirring (this means add a little of the hot milk at a time continually whisking).
Place entire mixture back onto heat for one more minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and strain.
Add the bourbon until evenly combined.
Cool over an ice bath. Freeze in an ice cream machine according to manufacturers instructions.

I'm 82 years young and going as hard as I can for as long as I can.

I have a few long, complex recipes that include a take a break step in the middle that says sit and enjoy 3 fingers of Kentucky Bourbon. Does that count?
