I bought a bottle of spirits that isn't whiskey

Last count, we had something like 140 bottles in the bunker. Other than restocking the staples, I've been trying to make a concerted effort to stop buying until we've thinned the herd.
Out of those we have one bottle, each, of the following: vodka, rum, tequila, Amaro & Triple Sec.
One of my favorite liquor stores had its semi-annual sales, and we just happened to be in the area, so I broke down and bought these.
I usually have a bottle of Irish whiskey on hand, but ran out a few months ago. I tried a lot of different whiskey over there and developed a taste for Powers Gold. I've never had the John's Lane, but if it's anything like the Gold, I'll like it just fine 😉

The Armagnac I bought for a change of pace, and a few of our friends really like it, and the Delord 25 year in particular. That, and Mom gave us a pair of these really cool Brandy glasses, and it's a good excuse to use them.

Yeah....it's a lot, but I've been buying whiskey for years. It's more than I can drink in my lifetime and I ain't leaving it to the kids!

That’s quite a bit. I’ve just started enjoying Bourbon. I’ve got 6 bottles of that. I have around 20 bottles of your bar staples plus a bottle of Goldschäger from the 90s. I wonder how much the gold in it is worth. 💰

That brandy glass might just have to be a Xmas present from me to me. I like a bit of brandy just before bedtime sometimes.

acorgihouse I googled and found that those glasses are called port sippers by Wine Enthusiast:

The sipping stems are supposed to "enhance the flavor and bouquet of port wines".

LOL! I did the same thing, after I posted, and saw that. Mom poured us some brandy in them and it was a hoot! I don't care for any kind of wine and even looking at Port gives me a headache

In my field, at some of the conferences, there is a tradition of giving speakers a drink after they present. First-time presenters get Malört.
