    Blanton’s bottle toppers

Hey all you bourbon sippers -

anyone happen to have an extra Blanton’s bottle topper with the letter “B” or the first “N” that they would give up or sell me? My dad has been collecting these bottle toppers, trying to collect the set to display on a barrel stave.

Thought I’d ask here - I know there are a number of us that enjoy a good bourbon. Blanton’s is one of them, but we just can’t get our hands on it here in New Mexico. So thought I would ask The Pit!

    thank you

Love the bourbon. Never noticed the letters on the toppers! I’ll ask my son. He’s a bourbon collector and loves Blanton’s for his own consumption. Maybe he has one. 🤷‍♂️

Thank you for checking! They are pretty cool, and fun to see some of the displays that are made with them.

Wish I could help, they are pricey on ebay I see.

Some aren’t bad from what I saw. I’ll resort to that if I can’t come up with them this way. Would rather try and get them via a board where I somewhat know the members posting at least. I don’t know if some letters are harder to come by or not, and if that makes some more than others.

      But thanks for the reply!

Are you looking for the N that's pictured at middle left?

That's a good question. We too have been saving ours and we have a couple repeats. I will check to see what I have. Does he have any duplicates, so we could possibly do a trade?

Yes, we have a T and an N: which is the second N in the photo above

      Thanks for checking Huskee!

barelfly Turns out I have an extra B for you. We need the second N! Wanna do a trade?

Also, we need an A & O, and we have an extra L and S, so if you discover extras of those or if anyone else reads this hit me up!

Yep. Let’s make that trade! B for N: and…the L and the S. Save those suckers for me. I need those. I have an extra T as well.

I have a buddy who has the whole run (and a few extras).

Cool! Does he display them on a barrel stave? My dad says if you collect all the letters, Blanton’s or Buffalo Trace Distillery sends you a barrel stave to display them. That’s what he is after!

You know, he just has them sitting in his "wine cellar" (AKA utility room). I'll ask him if he knows about the barrel stave thing.

Update, my friend did not know of the barrel stave promo. While he has collected the whole set, most are unopened bottles. He says there might be more incentive to start cacking them open now!

I'll gladly swap the contents of the bottle for the caps. Hell, I'll chip in the bottle and label too.

The product is a rare find here. I have a "T" & an "O". Will never afford enough purchases to hope for a stave. Huskee I will trade my O for any of your xtras, just not a T.

You can buy a whole set or the individual letters direct from Buffalo Trace. https://www.buffalotracedistillery.c...-stoppers.html

Thank you. Yes, but I don’t believe they will accept these for the presentation stave they provide if you collect all letters. From what I understand, they only accept used toppers.

So, the interwebs have guided me to eBay for letters, which may be the way I go for one of the last letters.

For those of you who might be interested in the Blanton’s barrel stave - my Dad emailed Buffalo Trace Distillery to see what was needed to get the display. Here’s the email he received from the distillery.

If anyone has the regular N, or has a friend that might - that’s all I need to find for him. Please let me know if you would be willing to trade to send my way to complete the set!

Huskee barelfly Fellas, I’ve got a complete set and lots of extras. If you want to PM me w what you want and your name and address I’ll take a look and send them off.

Huskee yeah Blanton’s was my go to back when I could find it for $46. Then it crept up to $65 I still would get it occasionally but now I can’t find it or they want over $100. Totally rediculous. Ah well.

Same here. It was always $40-45 in the days when I didn't care. Once I started getting into bourbon it was $60 if you could find it. Then years passed and now it's a unicorn. The last bottle I seen in a local store was $100. Prior to that $200. It's good but not that good. That secondary market really irks me, it should be illegal, but the law likes it this way since they get that higher tax money so everyone wins except the non-wealthy non-collectors.

That is impressive! Can I deduce, the "B" and the second "N", by the looks of your collection, are the difficult finds?

Buffalo Trace is going to get a sudden influx of topper sets sent in to them and they will surely question what happened.
