I’m not a fan of nutmeg. I’ll eat pumpkin pie, and drink pumpkin spice coffee, but I won’t search it out. And I don’t understand putting nutmeg in things like lasagna, or creamy spinach type casseroles. I won’t push the plate away, but I’m not asking for seconds, and if it’s in a restaurant I’m not ordering it again.

Nutmeg goes in the bechamel for lasagna (if you use bechamel here) or pastitsio

Greece's answer to Lasagna - Pastitsio! Layers of Greek bucatini tube pasta, cinnamon spiked meat sauce, and a thick layer of cheese sauce.

To Mosca point, though… a little goes a long way and can be overkill.

Yeah, that’s it: bechamel. I couldn’t think of the sauce, and didn’t care enough to Google it. I think it’s that I associate nutmeg with sweetness, and then that sweetness clashes in my brain with the savoriness I was expecting.

A bit of nutmeg is great in tomato sauce.

How exactly is this Rub & Seasoning talk? This is about Starbuck's & other drinks, correct? I will move this. PLEASE place posts in their proper channels.

                  Has Pumpkin Spice Rub BTW
I thought Pumpkin spice belonged under seasoning hence the name Pumpkin Spice

bbqLuv Your pics and references were originally only beverages, not rubs or spices. We just want to keep things organized according to the info in, and not in, the post.
