Im not sure what I expected; maybe a root beer float kind of thing? This tastes like a carbonated liquid chocolate marshmallow sundae, but not, “Oh, that’s cool!” More, “Should never have gotten past the research lab.” It’s got that really odd artificial sweetener aftertaste, too, like soft drinks from 50 years ago. And it’s too dessert-y to drink with a meal, and not dessert-y enough to substitute for an actual dessert. Neither fish nor fruit pie.

I can drink it if it’s really cold and I drink it quickly. But I’m not buying it again

That zero sugar stuff is most of the problem. Better living through chemicals.

I’ve heard some say there’s no difference between Diet Coke and zero sugar Coke, but I can tell.

love regular root beer but the diet and zero sugar varieties are too mediciny

Zero sugar gets a big pass from me.

Once or twice a year, root beer or cream soda, not so much.

Loks like maybe a sweerter version of cream soda? Not a fan.🫤

That’s sad. Anything for a shot at more profit. I’m not a root beer fan but used to use their cream soda in a great dessert drink. Just add some kahlua and coconut rum and it’s really good.

Hmmm, not a huge fan of coconut rum…but this sounds intriguing.

A&W hasn't tasted great since you could get it in a frosted mug at the A&W Drive-In.

I remember we’d get a gallon of root beer at the drive in A&W. Such simpler times.

I love the new A&W Zero Sugar, but I've never liked the off varieties: sundae, cream soda, etc. Dr. Pepper Zero, Coke Zero, and now A&W Zero are my only way to get my cola fix without trashing my sugars. I drink far less than the 12-pack a day that would be toxic

Yeah, the regular zero sugar root beer is fine. This is just… weird. For that matter, so is the Dr Pepper blueberry thing.

I like the diet and zero Dr Peppers, but I don’t drink them because I try to avoid caffeine after noon.

That pairs well with Grilled Velvetta sandwiches

A&W's Zero Sugar Root Beer is pretty good though.
