Got the flu earlier this week and did a quick search for Vernors ginger ale. None in sight. I'm a southern boy and my wife is from Michigan. She turned me on to Vernors early on (about 10 years ago). There were a few stores that sold it around here but apparently no more. There were only (2) things I loved about Michigan, the women and the ginger ale. Now I'm down to one

Love me some Vernors. One of my best friends growing up always had Vernors in the house, his Dad was from Michigan.

Attjack I saw that on my quest. I'd consider if it was at least 5% ABV. But then again, probably not a good idea to drink with the flu.

I see Vernor's in the stores around Chicago frequently. I love it, but my wife doesn't, so I only buy occasionally. Actually, I've never met a ginger ale I didn't like, just prefer some more than others.

I'm with ya' on that. Vernors just has a bite to it that I really enjoy.

A little Disaronno and some Tito’s vodka can make ginger ale oh so good.

Yup, Vernors hot is great for a cold or flu. Grew up with it. Made in Detroit.

It actually tastes like ginger. I always thought Swchwepp's and the like taste more like pears than ginger. I grew up sipping that when I was sick too, watching Price Is Right and all those.

I do love Vernor's!. It's what my parents always gave me as a kid when I had an upset stomach. It's also the key ingredient in a Boston Cooler, if you're into ice cream floats.
