    Hard Lemonade

I read the site's article on making fresh lemonade and plan to try it this weekend.
Outside of gin, scotch, and martinis I don't have much experience with other spirits.

Any tip on what spirit (assuming a citrus vodka) and any other ingredient to add?

My choice would be a little 'shine.

If you're looking for a citrus Vodka I really like Absolut's Citron vodka, goes great IMO in citrusy drinks....I imagine it working fine in lemonade but I'll admit I've never tried it that way.

I posted this recipe in the competition section yesterday. It's right on point for this message! Leave out the Lemon Ice Cream and use crushed ice.

          180 Lemonade Soda

          This is classic Lynchburg Lemonade!

          1 part Jack Daniel's
          1 part Triple Sec
1 part sour mix (I make it from scratch! 1 cup simple syrup, 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice)
1 scoop Lemon Ice Cream (this is my own recipe, it's the 180 part of the title -- got a perfect score in Dessert in 2006 in Shannon, IL)
          Sprite soda over the top.
All ingredients need to be chilled!

Serve with a straw. It truly does taste just like lemonade, but it's got a serious kick.

Sounds great! Regarding the lemon ice cream.... is that like a sorbet or sherbet, or is there actual regular lemon ice cream?

            Real Lemon Ice Cream!
            1 carton Yoplait Lemon yogurt
            1 cup whipping cream
            1 cup sour mix above
            shot of Jack Daniel's
            1/2 an orange squeezed
            sprinkle of sea salt
Mix it in the chilled bowl until at soft serve texture. Load in storage container or ice trays (handy for 180 Lemonade above).

Unflavored vodka with fresh lemonade would be best. I prefer Tito's. Very smooth and moderately priced.

Firefly is an iced tea flavored vodka that is really good mixed with lemonade. It's like an Arnold Palmer.

Wow. That's a potent one. 5 parts alcohol to 3 parts mix. Nice!

A Whiskey Sour is basically lemonade and Bourbon. 3 parts bourbon, 2 parts lemon juice, 1 part simple syrup. It is fantastic!!
