During the holidays, my son always has a percolator full of hot apple cider with mulling spices going that I enjoy with a shot of bourbon in it. Great for cold weather. I can't wait to enjoy this tradition at Thanksgiving.

Well, throat was sore tonight so I made a Buffalo trace hot toddy. Lemon, cinnamon, star anise, clove, honey, hot water, and bourbon.

It varies at my house, but I always have a bottle of Southern Comfort around to add to the eggnog.

Got a sore throat, cough, and fever? Skip the nyquil, go for the good stuff.

My go-to is Eggnog with bourbon. I could drink it by the gallon. I usually count on 5 lbs of weight gain during the holidays from eggnog alone!

ecowper I’m def gonna try your eggnog cocktail!

Peppermint schnapps in coffee is another fav around Xmas.

Finally…Thanksgiving and Xmas wouldn’t be complete without Sierra Nevada Celebration!

For a cooked eggnog, I prefer Kent Rollins version over Alton Browns. Also when making any mixed drink with bourbon, I prefer something bottled in bond, keeps the alcohol content up and my alcohol blood content in normal operating range easier.

I think you’ll like the eggnog cocktail. Very boozy and festive :-)

I do that in the summer …. It’s pretty easy to make and to drink and leaves the friends at the backyard bbq pretty happy

Funny you should ask, but I’m a fan of your eggnog cocktail.

My son and dil arrived at the beach house last night and brought this.

It’s made by the NC State Univ. Food Scinces Dept. using milk from their own dairy herd. One of the tastiest government programs I know of.

I'll sacrifice my body for a glass of eggnog with nutmeg on top.

Sacrificing my body again tonight, were making pizza. Holidays are a bad time for people with dairy issues.
